Why Cruise?

The Cruise Industry is growing very fast and is becoming more and more popular with holiday makers. Unfortunately, people still have a misconception about cruising.

Cruising is different to any other holiday, it’s very stress free, if you’re cruising from the UK you don’t have to worry too  much about luggage restrictions, flight delays, and lengthy queues. You can simply check in, board your cruise, head to your cabin and then unwind.

Some of the best meals you will ever experience will be at sea on board a cruise ship. The standards of food is extremely high, and you get an incredible amount included. On almost all cruise lines you will have full board dining which will include a full breakfast, lunch and multi course sit down dinner. Most ships will also offer a buffet restaurant where you can help yourself during the day, and many will also offer snacks at selected times during the day. You may also have access to a room service menu which in most cases will offer you complimentary snacks and light meals at no extra charge.

As well as your food, a lot of cruise lines have introduced the all inclusive package, this means your drinks will be included whilst on board the ship, some cruise lines will offer free drinks packages as part of a promotion, if not, you are able to add these on at a charge once you have booked or you can pay as you go and have drinks charged to your cruise account.

A common misconception about cruising is that it is too boring. This is far from the truth! You get a great deal of entertainment included, you will be able to visit the theatre in the evening to see live music, theatre shows, comedians, and a whole host of other acts. If you are travelling as a family with young children, they are able to attend the kids club at no extra charge, allowing them to meet with other youngsters and get the chance to join in with all of the sports and activities available on the ship. If you’re looking to relax and unwind on your cruise, almost all cruise ships feature a spa with pools, saunas, and a vast range of treatments available to purchase. If you’re keen on staying fit, most cruise ships feature a well equipped gym and fitness area.

Whilst the ship is at sea, you will be able to shop in a number of different duty free shops on board, these will range from essentials to jewellery, clothing, and many other big brand retailers as well as alcohol and cigarettes.

Every ship and cruise line is different but all will offer the same sort of facilities to ensure you never get bored on your cruise!

One of the most obvious reasons to cruise is being able to wake up in a different destination every morning! This is a great way to visit and explore a number of different countries and cities within a very short period of time.

You are able to prebook excursions which will take you to the attractions you are keen on seeing whilst the ship is docked in port. If you don’t fancy getting off, this is a perfect opportunity to explore the ship and all it has to offer whilst everyone else is exploring the local area. You can relax on the sundeck with a cocktail, enjoy a treatment in the spa or go for a dip in the pool!
